“On the 28th of July 2015 Ólafur Arnalds and myself met up at my studio in Berlin, and invited Alexander Schneider and his camera to document it. But instead of ending the session after the first take we continued to improvise throughout the night, ending up with several new pieces written and recorded in 8 hours with no overdubs and no edits.”

These New Puritans – “Spitting Stars” (Live @Barbican)

On October 20, The Vinyl Factory will release Expanded – a limited 2xLP live album documenting the band’s performance at The Barbican in April 2014, augmented by a 35-piece orchestra. The recordings featured an assortment of tracks from their three albums, ‘Spitting Stars’ is one such track: Listen in here:

Ólafur Arnalds – The Invisible Front EP

In 2012 Ólafur wrote the music for “The Invisible Front”, a historical film about the armed resistance against the Soviet occupation in Lithuania. The film was only just released in 2014 and to celebrate that he has created this FREE EP with music from the film. Enjoy!
