The Wedding Present – “Broken Bow”

The Wedding Present will release their ninth album, titled Going, Going… on September 2 through the band’s own Scopitones label. The band are also doing a short UK “Going, Going” audio-visual tour where they’ll play their forthcoming album in its entirety in front of films. They’re got a regular tour scheduled. Listen to their new single, “Broken Bow” below:

Angel Olsen – ” Shut Up Kiss Me”

Angel Olsen returns 2nd September with a new album entitled “My Woman”, spanning Spanning 10 tracks, the record was sequenced in an A-side and B-side format, “Shut Up and Kiss Me” falls into the former category, and is previewed today in a music video which Olsen directed herself. Watch below:

 

The Wedding Present – “Bear”

The Wedding Present return with their new album, Going, Going…, this September and you can check out the lead single, ‘Bear’, right now. Speaking about the album, frontman David Gedge says: “I’d already decided that I didn’t want to make the next release just ‘another album’ and so I came up with the idea of twenty ‘interconnected’ pieces of music. Then, in the summer of 2014, I travelled across the USA with photographer Jessica McMillan and we made some atmospheric short films to accompany the tracks.”

Wymond Miles, guitarist in the garage-psych band the Fresh & Onlys, maintains an expansive solo career, and now he’s got a new solo album called Call By Night coming out soon. Now he’s sharing his album opener entitled “Summer Rain”. Call By Night is out 7/8 on Sacred Bones.

Swans: “When Will I Return?”

On June 17, Swans will release their new album The Glowing Man (via Young God/Mute). They have already teased the title track and shared live footage of “Cloud of Unknowing.” Now, they’ve released “When Will I Return?” from the album. Hear it below.

Sonic Youth – “Theme with Noise”

1986, after they released Evol, Sonic Youth worked on the score to Ken Friedman’s film Made in U.S.A. Before they finalized the soundtrack, they recorded some rehearsal sessions. Those recordings, made at a studio called Spinhead, have been collected and are being released this summer. Spinhead Sessions is out June 17 via Goofin’.

Veruca Salt – “Eyes On You”

Veruca Salt have shared a video for “Eyes On You,” a track off of last year’s Ghost Notes, their first album to feature the band’s original lineup since 1997’s Eight Arms To Hold You. Ghost Stories is out now via El Camino Records.
