Lower Dens – “Real Thing”

 

Lower Dens' new album, Escape From Evil, comes out March 31.

   Lower Dens’ most recent LP, Escape From Evil, came out back in 2015 and during its rollout we saw a few excellent videos to accompany tracks from the album. Today, Lower Dens released a new song; “Real Thing” which video was conceived and directed by SSION (a.k.a. Cody Critcheloe). Lower Dens is heading back to Baltimore after their current tour, with plans to work on a new album.

 

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart – “Hell EP”

New York indie pop outfit the Pains of Being Pure at Heart have announced a new EP. Titled Hell, it’s out via their own label, Painbow.  The EP tracklist (which also includes a cover of Felt’s “Ballad of the Band”) is Hell, Ballad of a Man; and Hell. Art by Manuel Bujados. Lisen in here:

A Place To Bury Strangers – “What We Don’t See”

Girls Names – “Zero Triptych”

Irish post-punk quartet Girls Names return with the new single “Zero Triptych.” The track is lengthy at 11 minutes and they confirm there is so much more to come. The “Zero Triptych” 12″ is out 5/11 via Tough Love. Listen below:

Violent Femmes – “Love Love Love Love Love”

índice Violent Femmes are back with their first new music in 15 years — and first recordings with new drummer Brian Vigilone — as the band prepares to release a new vinyl EP titled Happy New Year on Record Store Day, a release that’s been preceded by the debut online of the song “Love Love Love Love Love.” Listen in below:

Gang of Four feat. Alison Mosshart – “England’s in My Bones”

Post-punk legends Gang of Four today debuted the music video for “England’s In My Bones,” one of two songs featuring Alison Mosshart of The Kills and The Dead Weather appearing on the band’s forthcoming album entitled  What Happens Next, is due out Feb. 24 in North American and March 2 in Europe.
